The Players are a friendly group of all ages and abilities who meet throughout the year to perform works written by Thomas Hardy (and sometimes other writers) and to enjoy each other’s company.
We are always happy to meet new members and we hope you’ll feel very welcome to join us at one of our events or rehearsals.
We have an increasing number of young people joining us, giving us a great mix of older and younger people sparking off one another. As we ourselves adapt each novel for the year’s stage performance, we are able to build in some flexibility to reflect the mix of people we know are likely to be involved, keeping our performances lively and fresh.
